FR Cette installation constitue la première partie du projet réalisé lors de la résidence à Casa R.A.R.O. à Barcelone. Elle a été présentée dans le cadre d’un atelier ouvert, aux côtés d’autres artistes. Mes projets naissent toujours d’une volonté de me placer dans la position d’une observatrice, aussi bien de mon environnement que de moi-même. J’expérimente différentes façons de m’étudier, et je finis toujours par me tourner vers des méthodes et des esthétiques presque scientifiques. Je m’intéresse à l’analyse et à la représentation de ma manière d’habiter le monde, et d’habiter ce corps. Combien d’espace mon corps occupe-t-il, et combien de mémoires puis-je porter en moi ? Lors de la résidence, j’ai proposé de me rapprocher autant que possible de ma peau, en la pensant comme une grande enveloppe, un contenant. Mais en imaginant une peau différente, avec la même identité, tout en étant plus transparente. Une identité fluide et adaptable à son environnement. Ce projet est né de mon déménagement de Buenos Aires à Paris, où j’ai commencé à enregistrer en vidéo et en photographie les différentes vitesses de la ville, qui ne s’arrête jamais. J’ai alors commencé à me demander dans quelle mesure le lieu où je vis m’affecte, et dans quelle mesure, à mon tour, j’influence la ville. Ainsi, j’ai commencé à me questionner sur la manière dont le lieu dans lequel nous vivons nous affecte, et sur la manière dont, à notre tour, nous influençons ou marquons ce lieu.
ESP Esta instalación es la primer parte del proyecto realizado en la residencia de Casa R.A.R.O. en Barcelona. Fue presentado en el marco de un estudio abierto, junto con otros artistas. Mis proyectos siempre surgen por ponerme en el lugar de observadora, tanto de mi entorno, como de mi misma. Pruebo distintas formas de estudiarme, y siempre termino encontrándome con métodos y estéticas casi científicas. Me interesa analizar y representar mi forma de habitar el mundo, y de habitar este cuerpo. Cuánto espacio ocupa mi cuerpo y cuántas memorias puedo llevar dentro de él? En la residencia propuse acercarme lo más que podía a mi piel, pensando en esta como una gran contenedora. Pero ensayando una piel diferente, con la misma identidad pero más transparente. Una identidad fluida y adaptable a su entorno. Este proyecto surgió a partir de mi mudanza de Buenos Aires a Paris, donde empecé a registrar en video y fotografías las distintas velocidades en la ciudad, que nunca frena. Y así empecé a cuestionarme cuánto me afecta el lugar en el que vivo, y cuánto yo influyo a la ciudad. Y así empecé a cuestionarme cuánto nos afecta el lugar en el que vivimos, y cuánto nosotros influimos o marcamos a ese lugar.
ENG This installation is the first part of the project developed during my residency at Casa R.A.R.O. in Barcelona. It was presented as part of an open studio, alongside other artists. My projects always emerge from placing myself in the position of an observer, both of my surroundings and of myself. I experiment with different ways of studying myself, and I always end up turning to methods and aesthetics that are almost scientific. I am interested in analyzing and representing the way I inhabit the world, and the way I inhabit this body. How much space does my body occupy, and how many memories can I carry within it? During the residency, I proposed getting as close as possible to my skin, thinking of it as a large container. But by imagining a different skin, with the same identity, yet more transparent. An identity that is fluid and adaptable to its surroundings. This project emerged from my move from Buenos Aires to Paris, where I began recording the different speeds of the city through video and photography—a city that never stops. I began to question how much the place where I live affects me, and how much I, in turn, influence the city. And so I began to question how much the places we live in affect us, and how much we, in turn, influence or leave our mark on those places.
